Summer weekend in London with daddy

Christopher's graduation day - 26.07.2013
Yes, you've been aware about this since last summer (first pics uploaded via INSTA - @thejollygirl). I couldn't wait. I was so excited, proud and impatient to share with you the professionnal pics of the event. Two days spent running around London with my Dad to celebrate my little brother's graduation on a very sunny day. What an adventure !

Someone special at home

My parents have been separated since more than ten years now. My mum then moved back to London at that time to also go back to basics since she grew up there and left a few of a family over. Dad stayed in France. At that time, things were really awful, and I don't want to be the one giving my point of view about that subject, it's just to explain the situation for you to catch the right feeling. I have since then been separated from my brother (him living in England and me in France) with glimpse of reunion every once in a while during holiday breaks, when younger, I was sometimes able to go visit them in London. Growing apart from each other, made us realise (or at least me) that my brother is simply THE most important person in the world for me. I will always rely on his opinion and what he tells me will always have an impact and make me think. Not to mention Guillaume in this case, but blood ties remains blood ties. He's my other half literally. Anywhere in the world, the only person who will always know, without words, if I'm safe or not is my bro. We can't explain it but it's just always been this way. No matter what happens we will forever connect anywhere.
So basically, those holidays back in July were all about : no makeup days, going back to basics, on our childhood footsteps and memories (you can feel that melancholic vibe in the pictures of our old house and district), runnning back to our old primary school and kindergarden. Also tasting/eating/enjoying so much different receipes and west indies-english-indian food. So fortunate to have my personal chief at home cooking homemade food much better than any restaurant out there. Soaking in the sun, having fun meeting with friends, trying to stop time at night to savor every little minute together.

Oldies - Last look

And here is the final outfit chosed for a sunny day back in June last year. Of course, shorts were included and I was very happy to have my light MEXX cardigan with me, since those pictures were actually shooted at the end of the day, during the sunset when temperature was going done too.

Oldies - 2nd look

Here is the second look of the serie. Used for the 'FIMU' last year, I chosed a total black look with a touch of colour on the mini satchel bag, the earrings and my vintage flower printed scarf. I personally love this outfit, for black first because anyone who knows me a little knows I love black total looks and black color in general, but also for the maxi skirt easy to match either in a chic outfit or a more casual one.
What's your thoughts ?

Oldies

Hi there how you are all doing ?! Hope you had a great weekend... Here I am back with a correct report of the 2013 diary in the right order and outline with old pictures left aside since June. These looks were shot before having my brother over at home for summer holidays and joining him to London for his graduation ceremony back in July (a few pics and infos were already posted via Insta) but you'll see all that in upcoming posts. The outfit we are talking about today is more like a spring kinda outfit with a loose shirt and simple jeans, one of my favourites, actually. Add to that my beloved camel cardigan, KOOKAI flats, PAQUETAGE bag, a silk scarf matching the shirt's color and hop! we go for a little walk in town ;) Enough explaining, here it is ! Smouack x

Smouack x

CELEBRATE !

For starters, I wish to each and everyone of you a very Happy New year ! Hope you simply had a wondeful time with family and beloved ones... We totally expected something different this year for New Year's Eve... And we were served ! We were suppose to travel a little in the first place, exporting ourselves up in Berlin or Geneva to party. Facing health problems on the end of this past 2013 year now, impossible to reach  Berlin or even Genève unfortunately. We ended up spending a wonderful, peaceful time at home, Guillaume and I, together, cuddling and still having a lot of fun between seafood and good music. What I wanted to share with you guys today, is a video I've been preparing for months now about the 2013 special New Year's Eve we spent last year in Genève ! I didn't want to publish it before without it being compelete, and ended up thinking it was a good idea for this start ofe the year to offer you this surprise :)
Enjoy and leave me your thoughts ;)
See ya hon's X
